The Keep Fit Association national events are major occasions in our year and we all really look forward to them. There are also many more events that are run by our regions and branches. Take a look at the Events Calendar to see what is going on throughout the Keep Fit Association community.
This is a dance show spectacular where teams of Keep Fit Association members from all of our nine regions present an inspired showcase of exercise, movement and dance. The event was held at The Royal Albert Hall in London for many years, then Milton Keynes Theatre in 2012 and The Symphony Hall in Birmingham 2014.
For our next festival we return to The Symphony Hall, Birmingham on 30th April 2016 for “Move to the Rhythm – Elements of Dance” a movement and dance spectacular based on the elements of Earth, Wind, Fire and Water.

Every two years we hold our national championship competition, a two day event that highlights the talents and skills of our members. Over the two days up to 400 competitors perform in solo, duo, trio and in teams across eight categories of fitness, exercise, movement and dance. For a long time Blackpool was the home for the championships, followed by Southport in 2011 and 2013. For the 2015 championships on the 9th and 10th May we returned, after many years, to The Albert Hall in Nottingham.

The 2017 championships will be held at The Albert Hall in Nottingham on the 17th and 18th June 2017.

The national annual general meeting is held on the first Saturday in October and is integrated into a full event day hosted by one of our nine regional associations who take it in turns to run a day of KfaMoves sessions, guest presenter sessions, team displays and more. It is a great social occasion in the true Keep Fit Association tradition where members can gather from all over the country to meet friends old and new. Usually a Gala Dinner is held on the evening before.
The North West Keep Fit Association hosted the 57th annual general meeting at Spotlight On Fitness at South Cheshire College, Crewe. The 58th annual general meeting, hosted by the South East Keep Fit Association took place on 3rd October 2015 at K2, Crawley.
Yorkshire Keep Fit Association hosted the 59th annual general meeting at Dance Fitness Yorkshire on 1st October 2016 at EIS, Sheffield.
The South West Keep Fit Association are hosting the 60th annual general meeting at Movement in Motion Festival on 7th October 2017 at Sarum Academy, Westwood Road, Salisbury SP2 9HS.
All Keep Fit Association teachers and trainers are required to maintain a specific number of training hours as C.P.D. (continuing professional development). In addition to the regionally run training sessions we run a national two day training event called Concordat that usually takes place annually in different parts of the country.
Concordat 2016 was held in Wakefield, West Yorkshire on the 11th and 12th July, hosted by the North West, North East and Yorkshire regional associations.
Concordat 2017 is on the 15th and 16th July 2017 at Brockington College, Blaby Rd, Enderby, Leicester LE19 4AQ
We are proud of our history as an association. We would not be what we are without the passion and loyalty of our many volunteer members who give their time, enthusiasm and energy to run our social and charity fund raising events. Our nine regions and the branches/areas within them are all run by volunteers as well. We recognise this by running volunteer of the year awards each year and present the awards at the national annual general meeting.
