Our course has been designed to provide comprehensive training for those wanting to offer an alternative to gym and studio based exercise and fitness programmes. It is ideal both for those who are already involved in the exercise and fitness sector and those new to the sector who have a passion for helping others to lead a more active and social lifestyle.
The qualification is at Level 3 on the National Qualifications Framework and is recognised as Level 3 by the Register of Exercise Professionals. Certificates are awarded by Active IQ – the UK’s leading awarding organisation in the health, fitness and well-being sector. It has been developed as a progressive programme which will improve your own movement skills whilst teaching you to become an effective teacher of exercise, movement and dance.
The Keep Fit Association promotes physical fitness and a positive attitude to health through a balanced programme of dance inspired fitness training. Courses are structured to include guided Teaching Practice and led by tutors who are experienced practicing teachers. Students are given a thorough grounding in all aspects of the subject enabling them to teach creatively and safely whilst being responsive to the needs of their participants.
Keep Fit Association Teacher Training provides a unique opportunity to develop creativity using movement ideas from Laban’s Analysis of Movement to improve fitness. Laban’s Analysis provides a stimulus to choreography, a focus for coaching and a link with the physical objectives to produce purposeful movement that promotes both physical and mental well-being.
