Members of Maureen Squirrell’s 3 Keep Fit classes in Colchester, Essex are pleased to have collected £1,000.00 in the last year to hand to the Colchester Motor Neurone Disease Group charity.
Through donations of small change each week from members at the classes, running raffles and coffee mornings, having table sales of produce, books, magazines and plants throughout the year they have managed to amass this fantastic sum which will be used to help make the lives of sufferers with this disease a little easier, helping the families and carers too.
The class members choose a different charity each year but always one that is local to Colchester and of special significance. This charity was chosen because the husband of one of our own keep fit members tragically died as a result of Motor Neurone Disease.
