At the Keep Fit National Festival in 2024 East Midlands Keep Fit Association Sue Bennet’s inspiration to dance came from her paying tribute to her granddad, Geoff, who was a chimney sweep. Sue has fond memories of this smell of soot as he cleaned the chimney channel and how she would go outside to check that the brush had come out the top of the chimney. Geoff would often attend weddings in his kit with his brush to bring the bride and groom good luck. Sue and the team set out to celebrate this through the dance.
