‘The Beast from the East’ couldn’t beat ‘The Best from the East Midlands’
In March this year, Ruth Denholm and her team of ‘Denholms’ Dancers’ were invited to represent the KFA at Flexercise ‘Spring into Malvern’ weekend.
This was the week-end the country was hit by ‘The Beast from the East’, with red alerts and snow blanketing the country. Ruth admits “It was touch and go for a while given the snow but we did it and we did the Kfa proud.
“The people at Flexercise were so welcoming to us and it was a delight to join them. We felt for them as they had a sell out performance and, due to the snow, only a half full theatre, but you wouldn’t know it – the audience were fantastic.
“We were down to a team of six as two people couldn’t make it, but as it was a small stage it worked fine.
Just goes to show, even ‘The Beast from the East’ couldn’t beat ‘The Best from the East Midlands’
