The Keep Fit Association bid a fond farewell to our wonderful Keep Fit Association lifeboat. Keep Fit members raised funds to buy this magnificent boat and over the years it has gone on to attend many incidents and save lives. On Thursday 29 April our lovely life boat, Keep Fit Association (12-13,) will launch from Filey for the very last time at around 05.30.
A volunteer crew from Filey will take the boat by sea to Lowestoft where she will be lifted out and taken by road transport to Poole.
Whilst no decision has yet been made about her fate, both the Keep Fit Association and the Filey RNLI crew hope that she will be able to continue her lifesaving work somewhere in the world.
