Nominated Charity 2015/2016 – The Eve Appeal

The Keep Fit Association nominated charity for 2015/2016 is The Eve Appeal.

We will be presenting a cheque for funds raised by our members at our National Festival of Movement and Dance 2016 – ‘Move to the Rhythm – Elements of Dance’ at The Symphony Hall, Birmingham on 30th April 2016.

The Eve Appeal, founded in 2002, is the UK’s leading gynaecological cancer charity dedicated to stopping women-only cancers in their tracks. The charity raises funds for the world-class research programme at the Department of Women’s Cancer based at University College London where ground breaking research benefits women in the UK and all over the world. The Eve Appeal may be a small charity but it punches well above its weight by focusing on where to make the biggest difference by funding innovative projects and gaps in funding.

By the Keep Fit Association partnering with the Eve Appeal our fundraising will help them to achieve three goals which are fundamental to fighting women’s cancer:
1. Raising awareness of gynaecological cancers and breaking the taboo about discussing them
2. Starting tangible action that everyone can get behind
3. Funding ground breaking research which will save women’s lives
