South West KFA Residential Weekend September 2023

I wonder why we do it? South West’s fitness weekend is the answer. It’s because we have such a great time!!

We arrived on Friday and enjoyed a fun Country stye class, after which there was time to swim or get a treatment in the spa. Dinner saw us all together before we did a quiz, enjoyed meeting old and new friends and retired to bed.
After a delicious breakfast there was a class which took us to Cuba, coffee and then a chance to be Roxy from Chicago. Our afternoon session was very lively, using music from lots of musicals.

Saturday night after dinner was “Cabaret party night”. This included sketches, poems, a singer and of course some fitness demonstrations. We had “River Dance, we aint!!” and Fat Bottom Girls!!! A hilarious game saw all 53 of us in a circle and raised £110 for our National KFA charity, Refuge.

Sunday morning we had a fun class, said our goodbyes and returned home.
Keep Fitters are an amazing group. My thanks go to those who attended and made the weekend such fun. I hope everyone had as good a time as me and I look forward to 2025, when we plan to meet again.
