SWKFA ‘inspirational’

The women of the South West Keep Fit Association have been described as ‘inspirational’

Cllr Gary James and his wife Bee were invited last month to attend the association’s annual meeting and Festival of Movement and Dance at Court Fields School in the town.

“I can only say I was astonished at the performances by the ladies taking part,” said the Mayor at Wellington Town Council’s meeting on Tuesday (April 3). “The movement and energy from ages 40-95 can only be described as amazing. The main message from the performance is that you must keep moving!”

The Mayor added: “The will, passion and expertise by these ladies is nothing short of inspirational! From sitting down exercises to a full range of dancing and movement to music gives a flavour of how the continued use of the body can benefit your health and well-being well into later life.”
