Volunteer of the Year Award

The Keep Fit Association Annual Volunteer of the Year Awards

The Keep Fit Association is largely run by volunteers who give time, energy and commitment to making our association the friendly one that it is.

Recognition of the hard work that often goes on behind the scenes is made through the Volunteer of the Year Awards.  Most of our regions present awards to those who have made a significant contribution to their local or regional association.  Then at our national annual general meeting we proudly recognise this effort at a national level by presenting the National Volunteer of the Year award to those who have been nominated by their local association, region or members.

The national award is split into three categories: member, committee member and teacher. An overall winner is then selected from the finalists.

Do you know of someone who deserves the accolade, someone who has made a real difference?

  • A committee member who helps to move the association forward locally, regionally or nationally
  • A teacher who helps promote the Keep Fit Association to others and does more than teach the class
  • A member who turns up every week, helps the teacher, encourages others to join and promotes membership to class participants.

If you know of someone who fits the description then why not nominate them for one of the Volunteer of the Year Awards?

Closing date for entries this year is 31st July 2023 for presentation at the national annual general meeting usually on the first Saturday in October.
