At the Keep Fit National Festival in 2024 West Midlands team and producer Shirley Shergold put on a wonderful display to the music Senorita by Bond.
Performing to tango music has been a firm favourite of the group Carpe Diem over many years. This year they chose a piece which is a modern day take on the aria from the opera Carman, the sultry passionate gypsy girl. The item was bold vibrant colourful and energetic like her character. West Midlands used this opportunity to showcase the use of ribbons across the range of dance moves working in partnership and as a team.
